Our ENCOUNTERS programs are themed to connect with the interests of your group and are a perfect fit for birthday parties, libraries, preschools, senior centers, clubs and scout troops.  These are presented "show-and-tell" style: animals are brought out one at a time, we present age-appropriate interesting facts about the animal, and kids get a chance to touch and (usually) hold each animal.  Choose from one of our standard programs or create your own from our "a la carte" list where you select your favorites from our many animal friends.

PROGRAM RATES (includes 1hr show, setup, breakdown and cleanup):

ENCOUNTER   $215
Additional Half Hour (each) $70
Additional Animals $15-$40 (will be discussed during booking)
Travel .55/mile

Travel distance is calculated using Google Maps and is based on a round trip from Redmond (Zip 98053).

Note: program pricing reflects small group size (15 children or less).  Ideal party size for young children is 12 or less for an hour's program.  Larger groups are welcome, however an additional charge may be required to cover the cost of extra labor.  We recommend you consider adding time if your group is large.

IMPORTANT STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW:

All programs can be provided indoors or outside- we've set up in barns, garages, driveways, classrooms, churches and backyards.  When you book with us, we'll discuss the particulars of your location and let you know what, if any, accommodations we may need.  For example, in colder weather we'll request you provide access to electrical outlets so we can keep our animals warm.  We typically arrive with folding soccer benches to seat the number of children expected, animal pens as needed, hand sanitizer, and of course, animals.  If rain is expected, or temperatures are in the 50's or below, some animals (reptiles in particular) will need to be shown inside. A tent is available to shelter the animals and presenter as needed.

From time to time we have baby animals which can make for memorable bottle-feeding (or dropper-feeding) experiences- we try to bring them along whenever we're able and the babies are up for it.

We request all participants sanitize hands before and after handling animals for the health and safety of our animals and your humans.

Any person who intentionally taunts or abuses an animal and continues to do so after being corrected will need to be removed from the presentation- this is extremely rare but important for the welfare of our animals and the enjoyment of all participants.

We reserve the right to make "day of event" decisions regarding the animals we bring- once in a while we determine that an animal is not up for handling on a particular day.  In such events, we will make every effort to provide you with a replacement animal of your choice.  At times, we will have multiple events booked in a single day.  In such cases, additional time availability may be reduced.
